We are now on the bus to D.C.! We hailed a cab (very NYC) at 5:50 a.m. and
welcomed the short ride to 33rd Street and 7th Avenue
where we caught our Bolt Bus and are about 45 minutes into our four hour
ride. Once we arrive, we’ll be checking
into L’Enfant Plaza Hotel, and we’re looking forward to their rooftop
pool! I’m not sure what the rest of the afternoon
will bring – maybe Capitol Hill and a museum – but we will head over to The Old
Ebbit Grill tonight at 7:00 p.m. for our dinner reservation. It’s a D.C. institution, according to Meher,
and sits just across from the White House.
We’ll check that out before to get some daytime pictures and enjoy the
architecture, and again after dinner to view the beautiful building at night
and take in the lights of the National Mall.
